Sharansthan's goal is to provide a better way of life for sex workers' children who are infected and affected with HIV disease and are considered outcasts from mainstream society. We work in the following key areas:

• Prevention of second generation being pushed into the sex industry.
• Rescue, rehabilitate, educate, and restore sexually exploited women and children back into society.
• To provide a better way of life for those who are considered outcasts from mainstream society.
• To build trusting relationships with women forced into commercial sex work and their children, who are at particular risk of falling into the sex trade.
